Funreal Services [Edit]

We provide many different types of funeral services at several locations in Mississauga. We realize that choosing a funeral service that is right for you and your family is very important, and that is why we have created several flexible options. Our funeral directors will help you understand all of these options and will help arrange something that is right for you and your family.

One Hour Family Gathering

• 25 Attendees • Simple • Private

Sometimes closure is best gained in a simple gathering of friends and family. Basic Funerals understands this and it’s why we have designed a special visitation service that creates a simple, yet meaningful memory of the deceased. (read moreA family gathering usually consists of about 25 attendees and can be held either with an urn or picture present as a focal point, or a full casket viewing. A family gathering can be facilitated at any of our pre-designated locations or at a location of your choice. Our funeral directors will arrange for everything from start to finish. The most important consideration is where you and your family will feel most comfortable.)

Memorial Visitations

• Informal • Flexible • Public

When the needs of a family are beyond just a basic family gathering, and the wishes are to have a visitation with friends and family for 2 hours or more with some type of formal service following, then a memorial service is the right choice. (read moreA memorial service can be accommodated with either an urn or picture present as a focal point, or with a full casket viewing. This can involve a formal or informal non-denominational service, or a religious ceremony. Our funeral directors will arrange everything needed for the service, as well as a reception if desired.)

Traditional Visitation

• Formal and Structured • Customary or Specialized • Public

Many families have found that a small gathering or memorial service suits their needs, while other families choose a more traditional service with a full funeral visitation. (read more) This usually consists of up to 4 hours of visitation in one day or spread out between two consecutive days. After the visitation a full service will commence and in many cases a reception as well. Our funeral directors will take care of everything needed so your family can focus on being there for each other.)

Graveside Service

• Formal or Informal • Flexible Choices • Everlasting Memorial

Whether it be a burial of cremated remains or a full casket burial, sometimes the best place to have a meaningful funeral gathering is at the graveside. A graveside service has been commonly associated with being the last part of a funeral service but is now becoming the focal point.
